If a candidate is able to pass both exams, then his name will be entered into the Nurse Aide Registry and will be given a Registry Card.

You can show this card to an employer to prove that you are a certified nursing assistant. However, every employer is still required to verify each applicant’s credentials before hiring. Before you can get certified, you must first learn how to become a nursing assistant. There are different ways how a person can acquire the competencies needed to become certified; one of these ways is by enrolling in a program.

To ensure that your training will meet OBRA standards, you must only select a program that is approved by the state’s Department of Education. Nurse aide certification through testing

Once your name is on the Registry, it will be your responsibility to keep your record updated. Candidates must pass both tests in order to gain entry into the Nurse Aide Registry and receive a certification.

To qualify for the NNAAP exam, you must first successfully complete a CNA course that is approved by the state’s Department of Health or Board of Nursing. Becoming a CNA II

To be accepted into a CNA II training program the applicant must:
