For you to be able to work in Mississippi as a nurse aide, you must have a CNA certification. The only way for you to get one is if your name is added to the Nurse Aide Registry. One way of getting you name on the list is by passing the license exams which is composed of a written/oral exam and a skills evaluation.

If you have no proper education and training, you will need to first enroll in a 130-hour training program. You will be spending your time learning different concepts of the Fundamentals of Nursing and train in an actual clinical setting. There are two ways to get on the Mississippi NAR. One option is by applying for reciprocity. The Nurse Aide Registry is a master list of all the nurse aides in the state who are allowed to work in any healthcare facility. There are several different ways to get your name on that list.
The Nursing assistant registry is being handled by the state’s Department of Health. The registry is in charge of registering qualified CNAs to work in licensed care facilities, maintain important information about them, as well as monitor nursing assistant training programs and evaluation program. The great thing about training as a nursing aide in Minnesota is that you can get reimbursed for your costs. Those nursing aides who want to get reimburse must turn in their receipts within 1 year from the taking of the tests. When you submit the receipts, you should be working for at least 90 days.
