When you finish your course you will want to have your school set up a time for you to take the license exams. This two part exam includes a written part and a skills demonstration part. You are allowed three chances for each part of the test to pass. Once you pass you are sent a certification in the mail which arrives in 4-6 weeks. In addition you are added to the nurse aide registry and awarded active status for 24 months.
