The first step in becoming a nursing aide in California is to enroll in a certified nursing aide training course. An approved course will provide you with all the knowledge and skills that you need to take care of different patients. Because of the high demand for nursing aides in the state, you will have no trouble in looking for a suitable program. There are also some websites that offer free online training. When selecting a program, just make sure to enroll in one that is approved by the state’s Department of Public Health.

Training courses in this state take 150 hours to complete. You will be spending your time in the classroom for lectures and in the clinical area for your supervised practical training.
