One cannot work in this state without a CNA license. To get a license, your name must be in the state’s Nurse Aide Registry. There are several different requirements that must be done first before you are allowed to take the exams. If you have not received any proper training, they must first complete a state-approved training program and then proceed to the other requirements like passing the background checks, undergo immunizations and physical exams, and submitting the necessary documents when you apply for the exams.
If you completed a nursing or nursing-related program like Practical Nursing or Psychiatric Technician programs, you are still welcome to apply for the NNAAP exams. You can ether provide a transcript of records when you apply or a verification letter from your school where you completed the program. This also goes the same for LPN, RN, or LPT, who received their training from other territories and nurse aides that still do not have a license. They must pass the nurse aide exams within 2 years from the submission or acceptance of their application forms. For more information, they can contact the Board of Nursing at (303) 894-2437.
