What will you learn in a CNA program?
CNA training consists of 150 hours of lectures and practical training. Both the classroom and practical training and taught at the same time by a nurse aide instructor. What is the certification exam?
The certification exam, or properly known as the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program exam or NNAAP exam, consists of a written/oral test and a skills evaluation exam. It was developed to be standard for nursing aides throughout the country. This exam will test all aspiring nursing aides in their knowledge and skills. If you pass the certification exam, you will receive a CNA certification.
What happens after getting certified?
Once you get certified, you will be allowed to work a CNA in a state-certified nursing facility. You will need to work for at least 8 hours and complete 48 hours of continuing education to keep your certification active.
