Getting a CNA license can be one of the best decisions you can make. If you want to start a career in healthcare, Colorado is the best places to do so. The first step that you would have to take is to complete a training course. These courses are being offered by colleges, healthcare centers, and high schools. Before you enroll in a course, you have to make sure that the program is approved by the state so that you will be eligible to take the exams afterwards. In order to complete the program, you have to spend at least 80 hours in training. Your training hours will be divided into classroom theoretical lessons and hands-on training. After you complete the program and the other requirements, you can then take on the NNAAP Exams.
Pearson VUE is in charge of conducting the license exams. Their examinations are composed of a written and a skills evaluation. The written exam is composed of 70 multiple-choice questions. It is sometimes replaced with an oral exam where only 10 of the questions will be multiple-choice reading comprehension that will be provided on an audio tape. As for the skills evaluation, you will have 25 minutes to complete the 5 randomly selected nursing skills. You must pass both parts of the exams to get your license.
