You are required to enroll in and complete a CNA training class before you can apply for the state exams. To finish the program, you must complete at least 75 hours of both lectures and clinical duties. Instruction is given by a registered nurse with at least two years of professional experience in the medical field. If you are a medic that has been trained in the military, then you may apply for the license exams without enrolling in a training program.
