The demand for nursing aides is continuously on the rise. Because of its high demand rate, not only in Missouri but in other states as well, fresh graduates will not have any problems looking for jobs as a CNA. Because of the increased number of students, there is also now an increase in the demand for RNs to instruct and supervise them.
CNA instructors are also entered on the NA Registry. The applicants will also have a different set of requirements that they will have to meet to become a certified instructor. To become a qualified instructor the applicant must:
1. Be an RN that is licensed in the state. If not, then they must at least have a temporary permit from the state’s BON.
2. Have at least 2 years of experience working as a RN where at least 1 year was spent working in a LCT facility within the span of 5 years.
3. Also enroll and complete a Train-The-Trainer program. After completing the course, the applicant’s name will automatically be entered on the Nurse Aide Instructor Registry.
