If you want to become a nurse aide in the state of Georgia, it is high advisable that you should know what the different requirements are. According to the state rules, the first thing that you must do is to enroll in a training program that is approved by the state. It is the Georgia Medical Care Foundation or GMCF that certifies all programs for the state.

Certified programs are required to have a minimum of 85 hours of training which must include 24 hours of clinical duties. Before a student will be allowed to proceed into the clinical rotation, he/she must get a 100% rating in the lab. The training programs are composed of classroom lectures, labs, and clinical duties. Depending on the program, it will take an average of 2-6 months to finish the program.
