You must first complete one of the approved CNA training programs in the state of Arkansas before becoming eligible to become certified. The current requirements are attending a school that provides at least 75 hours’ worth of classroom training and 100 hours of clinical practice. To complete it, you will be spending hours in both lectures and clinical practice. In this manner, you will experience what it’s like to be as a nursing aide when you are in the real life setting.
Your training will last around 2-6 months depending on your program. Once you finish, you can then try to take on the state license exams. On average programs span from two months up to six. Upon completion and submission of an application and consenting to a background check and verifying your identity you will be eligible to take the licensure exam.
