The completion of a nursing assistant training program is the first step in becoming a nursing assistant. If you finish your training, you will be able to apply for the license exams. To ensure your eligibility, you should only enroll in a program that is approved by the state. You can find that these programs are offered by different institutions such as colleges, high schools, and select healthcare centers. To be accepted in one, you should be at least high school level. Nurses, even from other countries, are also welcome to apply for the license exams if the wish to become CNAs. They will need to provide a copy of their education and training, as well as be able to meet the number of hours required for practical training.
To qualify to take the exams you will need to have a copy of a physician’s Statement of Good Health. You will also need to show a TB skin test or chest Xray and a copy of your social security card.
