NC Nurse Aide Registry Verification
You can contact their staff to learn more about these findings and you can also ask for particular information with regards to summary, statements, and hearings through them. It is a requirement of the state for employers to access the registry whenever they are making any hiring procedures. The applicant should first be examined whether they have the necessary status certification or not and whether they are currently under investigation for any type of complaint that have been filed which is related to their work as a nurse aide. There is a confirmation number which is provided with every search that is made on the website together with the number of the nursing aide that is being searched for. The confirmation also includes the date and time when the information was accessed as well as the number of the employer who accessed the information.
In order to make registry verification, you will have to enter the social security number of the applicant in order to view their information. You should not however confuse the social security number with the tax identification number of the applicant as this would not be counted or read by the computer. You can enter up to twelve social security numbers in order to look for a particular set of nurse aides. You can also choose to receive updates and emails from the registry by entering your email address when you do your search. You will be able to receive changes in certification status of the nurse aides that you are looking for in at least 12 months after you enroll for the free email update.
After you have finished with the social security numbers, you can also make a similar check on the health personnel names in order to acquire deeper information about their criminal background and history checks which are conducted by the state. You may have to print your confirmation number in order to submit it to the registry as evidence of checking the registry before you hired the employee. You can also use the registry website to check other types of healthcare workers in the state.
Nursing aides are required to pass an approved 75-hour training program before they can be allowed to take the state’s competency evaluation. Currently testing is administered by the Pearson Vue company. They can be contacted for at (888) 204-6207 for Registration Services, or at (888) 723-6773 for Scheduling Reservations. Applicants can also apply for reciprocity if they already have a current certification from another state and have met the training requirements.
