It is not that hard to become a nursing aide in Kansas if you wish to get a job in the health care profession. All you need to be eligible to be hired is to get a license, which is given once your name is entered in the state’s Nurse Aide Registry. The state does not allow any individual to work as a nursing aide if their name is not in the Registry. The only way for you to get your name entered is to be able to pass the nurse aide license exams. Before you are allowed to take the exams, there are a number of requirements that you will need to comply with. The first on the to-do list is to find a CNA training course to enroll in. You should make sure that the program you enroll in is approved by the state. This will allow you to become eligible to apply for the exams afterwards. You can find these programs scattered all over Kansas and are being offered by different institutions.
Once you become eligible, you may then send in your application form along with the necessary document. You can get a copy of the forms at http://www.kdads.ks.gov/HOC/Cert_Nurse_Aide/CNA_Index.html. Examples of the necessary documents that you will need to submit include fingerprint cards, TB test results ID photo, passport size pictures, your high school diploma, and the results for the background checks for criminal records. If you are a nurse from a different country, you are still welcome to apply for a certification. You will just have to submit some documents showing your training and experience.
