If you are considering on entering the medical field, you should think about becoming a nursing aide. Not only will becoming one give you access to the field, it will also give you a good and basic experience of being a healthcare provider. Compared to other career choices, it will take you less time and money to become a CNA.
The only way you are able to work in the state of Kansas as a nurse aide is if you have a certification issued by the state. You can only get the certification if you take and pass the state exams. But before you are allowed to do so, you must pass a certification training program that is approved by the state. Nursing assistant programs take approximately 8 to 13 weeks to finish. When you are through with the program, you will have a total of 90 hours of training. Your training will be divided into lectures, skills training, and clinical duties. When you go to the clinical area, you will be under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or another member of the healthcare team.
After your training, the next step is to take on the license exams. It is very important that you take the exams in order to get your name entered in the Nurse Aide Registry.
