The requirements to be a nursing assistant in the state of Massachusetts are the same as other states. You can only work permanently in a nursing institution is if your name is entered in the registry.  Your first task is to enroll in a CNA training program. According to the state rules, the program you enroll in should be approved by the state. For a program to be approved, it must meet several qualifications such as the content of this curriculum and the number of training hours it should offer its students. These hours should not go below 100 and should be divided into lectures and skills training.

After you complete your training, the next step is to take on the evaluation exams. The evaluation exams are evaluated and monitored by the Nurse Aide Registry. If you have any problems with it such as the date for your examination, you should contact the Registry in order to request for a reschedule. If you area able to pass all the tests in the evaluation exams, your name will be entered on the Registry. Once approved your license will be valid for up to two years. If you wish to continue to work, you should renew your license before it expires.
