Taking the nurse aide license exams is a necessary step in becoming a nursing assistant since the state does not allow its nursing assistants to work without a valid license.  There are a number of requirements that must be first complied before you will be allowed apply for the exams. To become eligible for the exams, you must be able to complete a training program that is approved by the state. These programs take about an average of 6 months to complete. Other requirements for the exams include passing the background checks that are done at federal and state levels, submitting fingerprint cards, ID photos, passport sized pictures, transcript of records as well as the fees for the exams.

If you pass, you will be given a notice 14 days after you take the exams. This notice will also come along with your license as well as the exam results. The release of the results will be based on the completeness of the documents you submitted during the exams. Failing in any test, including the background checks, will not bake you eligible for any payments you make. To get your license, you are required to pass both parts, which are the written and the skills demonstration exams. There is no partial passing for any exam. Failing in any test means that you have to repeat everything again.
