If you would like to work as a nursing assistant in the state of Montana, you can gain entrance to the medical field without much cost to you. You will be caring for patients and looking after their personal needs such as feeding and bathing. A nursing aide training program would be able to teach you the basic skills and knowledge that you have to possess in order to work as a nursing assistant.

It is not that hard to become a nurse aide in Montana. To be allowed to work, your name must be entered on the Registry. Your name will only be entered there if you were able to complete a state-certified training program and pass the license exams afterwards. To complete a program, you will spend a total of 75 hours in classroom instructions and another 16 hours in the clinical area for your duties. The course takes only a few weeks to finish and costs only very little compared to other medical courses. You will work for medical facilities such as nursing homes and long-term care facilities under the supervision of either a registered nurse or physician.

CNA license holders that are registered in other states are also able to transfer and work in Montana. To do so, they must fill out the Interstate Endorsement Application forms in order to apply for reciprocity. When they apply, they must have an active status in their state’s Registry and a good relationship with them.

Regardless of what type of application you are using to get your name on the Registry, all individuals will be required to undergo background checks. The checks will be done at both state and federal levels. If you have any records that involve abuse or negligence, you will no longer be allowed to work in Montana as a nurse aide.
