The completion of a CNA training programs is an important step in becoming a nursing assistant in this state. You cannot take the state license exams without receiving any proper training. The State of Arkansas requires you to complete a training program that is approved by the state, with a total of at least 100 hours of clinical duty, and 75 hours of classroom instruction for you to be able to take the license exam.
For those that have taken the fundamentals of nursing and had experienced clinical practice, they may directly apply for the license exams. This also goes the same for those that had undergone nurse aide training from a different state. In order to get your results, you are required to pass the state and federal background checks. After passing the examination, you will then be able to practice legally for 2 years.
