To qualify to take the CNA certification exam it is a requirement by the state of California that you have attended an approved nursing assistant training program. Programs must consist of 75 hours of classroom teaching, and 16 hours of experience in a practical health care setting. Upon completion of your training which can last on average from 6-8 weeks you can apply to take the certification exam.
